Draft: not legal advice
This document is a product-specific draft and not legal advice. It must be reviewed and adapted by a qualified lawyer before launch. Do not rely on it as-is.
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Clipwick, a service that generates AI short-form video and, at your direction, publishes it to your connected social accounts.
Last updated: 6 July 2026
1. The service
Clipwick (“the Service”, “we”, “us”) is a software platform that automatically produces short-form vertical video (script, synthetic voiceover, stock B-roll, captions, and rendering) from topics and brand settings you provide, and, when you connect a social account and approve content, schedules and publishes that content on your behalf.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use it for an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation.
2. AI-generated content
- All video output is generated by automated AI systems. It may contain inaccuracies, artefacts, or content that does not reflect real events. You are responsible for reviewing every video before it is published.
- Every post published through the Service carries the relevant platform’s synthetic-media / AI-content disclosure flag by default, in line with the EU AI Act’s transparency obligations and each platform’s policies. You must not circumvent this disclosure.
- You are responsible for ensuring the topics you submit and the output you approve comply with applicable law, third-party rights, and the terms of the platforms you post to.
3. Your accounts and content
You retain ownership of your brand assets, the topics you submit, and the resulting videos. You grant us a limited licence to process, store, render, and, where you direct, transmit that content to your connected platforms solely to operate the Service.
When you connect a third-party social account (via our posting aggregator), you authorise us to publish approved content to it on your behalf. You may disconnect any account at any time; doing so stops future automated posting to it. Your social accounts and audience remain yours.
4. Plans, credits and billing
- The Service is offered on monthly subscription plans (Starter, Growth, Scale). Each plan grants a monthly allotment of credits; one credit produces one video. Credits are granted per billing period and are intended for use within it.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown excluding VAT; applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated and added at checkout by Stripe Tax based on your billing location.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing settings; changes take effect from the next billing cycle. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
5. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits, among other things, spam, deceptive or infringing content, and content that violates a platform’s rules. Breach of that policy is a breach of these terms.
6. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Generation depends on shared rendering infrastructure and third-party platforms; capacity, queue times, and platform APIs may vary. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses arising from content you approved, platform actions (including account suspensions), or AI inaccuracies. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required to protect the Service, other users, or third parties. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-product or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established (to be specified on legal review), without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
